The Wedding, Part Three...

I was extremely proud of all that Amy did for the wedding. She did all of the reception decorations, the flowers and the favors. She claims that she is not artistic nor creative but I think she is and she did a fabulous job...

I love the combination of pink and orange and you can't go wrong with gerber daisies, they are such happy flowers. She used 3 cases of clear wine bottles that she bought at a yard sale and a variety of other pieces of glass that she picked up here and there. It was gorgeous.

She had asked me to do the arbor for the ceremony. She showed me a photo she found online and handed me 2 bags containing 2 pieces of fabric (pink & white), floral garland in pink and white, orange tiger lilies and some pearl trim and off I went. After 3 hours, I finally achieved what I felt was her vision...

She was thrilled and it really did look beautiful especially when the breeze blew off the river.

It only took 5 minutes to rip it all down after the ceremony!

Finally back in my studio on a regular basis. 36 cards made last week and several mixed media pieces started. Our oldest grandson, Tyler, was here today and he made a few Father's Day cards. He just turned 8 yesterday and loves "making" things with Granny. Oh what fun we have together.

Hope you are having a great week.

The Wedding, Part One...

Next to the bride, the grand kids stole the show.
A few photos to share...

Tyler, during rehearsal.

Gabriel, also during rehearsal.

Taking his job very seriously.

The back of his shirt.

Sweet Miss Madelyn. I wonder if she is thinking, why are they making me wear this ridiculous thing on my head?

Hannah, waiting to walk down the aisle. Also, very serious about her duties as the flower girl.

More photos to share over the next several days.

Hope you are having a great weekend.

Home Sweet Home...

and boy does it feel good. We are all moved in and pretty much settled. Loving our new place.
This is the view from our door...

Quite peaceful.
Here is the little fellow we have seen every morning...

The first 3 mornings it was just him. Yesterday we got to see the whole family, Mrs. Fox and 5 little ones. I was so taken with watching them play I didn't even stop to get my camera.

Hope you have a fantastic weekend.

Beautiful weekend...

Still recovering from a busy yet fabulous weekend. The wedding was gorgeous and you can see some of the photos here. The venue was Clore Brothers on the Rappahannock River in Fredericksburg. The weather was wonderful and we had a fantastic time. I'm still working on my photos although they don't do the event justice.
Hope your week is going well, we are in the final stages of moving, furniture goes on Sunday and we'll stay at the new place that night. So excited!
Have a great day.
