Pan Pastels...

For a long time I have wanted to try pan pastels and

finally ordered two sets a few weeks ago.

I choose Exploring Mixed Media 1 & 2 thinking these

would be the best ones for me to start out with. These

two sets consist of colors selected by Donna Downey.

I've spent hours online watching videos on how

to use. It will take just as many hours of practice but

I love them. The colors are fabulous and I look

forward to adding more sets to my collection.

Here's my first attempt...

I've got a lot to learn especially perfecting the blending technique.

This was created using the leftover pastel on the sponges.

I think I like it best.
