A coating and some art...

Our weather forecast for this past Tuesday was a "coating" of snow, followed by rain.
This is what we got...

A little over 7 inches and it was still coming down.
Ten straight hours of snow, a total of 8 inches when it was all done.
Nothing like a snow day for many hours of creating...

Sharing...

Home Sweet Home
12 x 12 canvas

More art to share, this piece was about 90% finished prior to my stroke. Finished it up a last week. Also started and finished another 12 x 12 piece and a 6 x 6 piece. It's been a great week and even better weekend. Yesterday we spent several hours downtown peddling my art, am finally starting to feel normal on a regular basis although a bit worn out. That will come in time, too. Hope you are having a great one.
Enjoy!

Art Journal...

A thing of beauty is a joy forever. 6 x 9 art journal page
My husband had to cut the words out for me, I was able to adhere them.
I don't have too much of a problem painting although I seem to be a bit messier than I was before. My main issue with my art is the smaller, detailed work.  Right now I'm working on this journal along with 3 canvas pieces. It's going pretty good and it makes me feel normal again.
Enjoy!

Home...

there's no place like home
8 x 10 canvas
Minor surgery on Friday and healing has begun although it's going to be a longer process than planned. Just not getting back to normal as quickly as I would like. Spent Sunday night and all day yesterday in Fredericksburg awaiting the arrival of our 7th grandchild. Jayden Scott Haun arrived yesterday at 2:16pm, 7lbs, 4oz and 19 inches long. He's beautiful and we are so thankful that he arrived healthy. He has been in the NICU since 5am this morning for reflux issues however this afternoon he finally ate without any issues, he's doing great and they should all go home sometime tomorrow. There's no place like home.
I would have loved to stayed with them longer but really needed to get back home so I can get myself well and feeling better. Truly, there's no place like home.
Have a great evening.
Enjoy!

Enjoy the journey...

6 x 6 canvas
Words to live by. I often have to remind myself to slow down.
In the midst of preparing for the festival and exhibit I have coming up, I find myself having a few minor health issues. Nothing too serious but they must be dealt with and all I can think about are all the things I need to get done over the next 2 months. It's a sign, time to slow down, take care of the important things and enjoy the journey.
Enjoy!

I'm not sure about the darkness of the piece. Any thoughts?
Have a wonderful day.

Spread your wings...

Spread your wings
8 x 10 canvas
The butterflies were created with modeling paste. I made my own stencil using a craft punch. This was my first attempt and they came out extremely thin however worked well for this piece. Love the way they add dimension.
Enjoy!

Home Sweet Home...

I love to travel, love to explore, love discovering new places but there's nothing like that feeling when you arrive back home.
Here are 2 pieces I just finished, Home Sweet Home...

Both pieces are 5 x 5 on canvas.
I like this size, a bit of a challenge for me.
Finished the 8 canvases I'd been working on since Sunday and have 6 more primed and ready to start but first I need to get our Home Sweet Home back in order. Worked for a while in my studio last night just trying to restore some sense of order, not an easy task.
Hope your week has gone well, have a beautiful day.

Her heart is happy...

4 x 12 canvas
Loving this size, picked up 2 more yesterday.
The weather is lovely and I'm finding it harder to stay indoors, the dirt is calling.
Lots of photos and art to share, just need to get a few projects finished and then I'll get everything uploaded and posted.
Hope you are having a great week.
