Wreaths Across America...

My mother and I spent last Saturday at Arlington National Cemetery taking part in the Wreaths Across America event. Over 200,000 wreaths were laid by volunteers, many of them were members of the families of the veterans. My maternal grandfather is interred there and my first wreath was placed on his grave. It was an emotional day for all...

Here are some photos of the convoy that traveled from Maine to Arlington...
Rolling Thunder!

My grandfather, he was an honorable man and a true hero.
Before the wreaths.

My first wreath.

What an experience. All this is done at the hands of volunteers.
What a wonderful country we live in.
God Bless our Veterans.

Cute animals...

Not quite sure what inspired me to start this series...

These are the first three in a series of six.
Fun and silly .
A lion, peacock and hippo to come when they are finished.
I think these would be so cute in a child's room.
