Time flies...

this week has just flown by...worked at the Market yesterday in preparation for Garden Day on May 8th and busy getting things together for our trip to Ocracoke Island for my youngest brother's wedding.
Thought I'd share a photo today of sweet Miss Emma since it's been a while...

She has the most beautiful eyes and she's become quite the character. She has a vocabulary of jibber-jabber and has some very entertaining conversations with herself. She is pure joy.
Hope you have had a wonderful week, have a great weekend.
Be back soon.

Unidentified Flying Object...

I'm not sure what this insect is, it looks like a bee and has wings like a hummingbird. Very interesting to watch it go from flower to flower...

If you know what it is, please share, I'm fascinated by these little creatures.
Life is great, hope yours is too.
Be back soon.

Funny story...

First, a few photos from Spring Break...

My baby girl, Sarah...
here she is again with my little man, Tyler.
Now, for the story...Tyler came to stay a few days while he was off from school and on the Monday after Easter, both Jaelyn and Emma were here too. Sarah and I decided to take the girls for a walk in their strollers and Tyler rode along on his bike having just gotten a new helmet from the Easter Bunny. So, off we went...as we were headed back, one of the training wheels keep coming loose and causing Tyler's bike to tilt to one side and he was having difficulty riding. We were still quite a ways from the house and he was having an even harder time trying to push it back home so Granny traded places with him, he pushed Emma in her stroller and I rode his bike back. My mistake...letting Sarah hold my camera...

Oh the things we do for our kids and grandkids, I wouldn't have it any other way.
Hope you had a fantastic weekend. Ours was quiet, it was cloudy and damp outdoors so we opted for getting a few chores done and then I spent the rest of the weekend creating. I mostly worked on my journals and will share a few completed pages soon.
Hope your Monday is great!
Be back soon.

Earth Day

A few more blooms to celebrate...

A few of the flowers I've planted this Spring. I'm working with lots of bright colors in my garden this year and using lots of plants that attract butterflies and hummingbirds.
Created a few more cards yesterday and will post them soon.
Happy Earth Day!
Hope it's bright and wonderful.
Be back soon.

Birthday greetings...

Since our move, I've been on a mission to clear out some of my paper. Here are a couple of birthday cards I created using leftover bits and pieces from a papercrafting kit from Crate Paper...

Love my little feathered friends, the stamp set is from Clear Art Stamps.
It's raining here this morning so I'll be inside for a while and hope to get a few more cards finished up.
Hope your day is filled with sunshine.
Be back soon.

More butterflies...

Such peaceful creatures...

A bit obsessed with butterflies, yes I am. I can sit and watch them for hours going from flower to flower. We've planted several plants that attract both butterflies and hummingbirds, which are in abundance, around Dad's house. His azaelas are opening up and there is color everywhere, one of the reasons I love Spring so much!
Hope you are having a wonderful week.
Be back soon.

Good morning...

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Saturday was our anniversary and we spent the day together, exploring, a little shopping and a wonderful meal. Not much created in the studio over the weekend however several cards to share from last week...

The little girl image is from a vintage sewing pattern.

Cut the daffodils for this one from an old notecard.

My youngest brother is getting married the day before Mother's Day, on Ocracoke Island, so that's where we will be celebrating this year.
Still a lot of new cards to share this week along with a few photos from our weekend. Hope your weekend is great!
Be back soon.

It's been wonderful spending time creating again, hope you enjoy seeing my work.
Many more new cards to post over the next week.
Have a great weekend.

Butterflies and blooms

I love watching the butterflies on the lilac bushes.
Took these photos yesterday...

I've been busy, as usual, working in the yard, helping Dad, playing with the girls and making lots of cards for the Heritage Crafters Gallery. Loving the Spring weather although the last 2 days have been a bit on the chilly side.
Hope you are having a wonderful week.
Be back soon.

Easter...

We are finally settled in our new place and life is getting back into a routine of sorts. A lot of changes for us but we have grown used to change and welcome whatever comes our way.
I made a lot of Easter cards for the Gallery and thought I would share a couple...

Happy Easter

Easter Joys
and a few photos...

Sweet Miss Emma
Gabriel, the tongue makes him go faster!
and Miss Hannah, growing up way too fast.
We had a lovely day, our first family dinner in our new home.
My apologies for being away for so long, long story for another day.
Happy Spring!
