The Wedding, Part Three...

I was extremely proud of all that Amy did for the wedding. She did all of the reception decorations, the flowers and the favors. She claims that she is not artistic nor creative but I think she is and she did a fabulous job...

I love the combination of pink and orange and you can't go wrong with gerber daisies, they are such happy flowers. She used 3 cases of clear wine bottles that she bought at a yard sale and a variety of other pieces of glass that she picked up here and there. It was gorgeous.

She had asked me to do the arbor for the ceremony. She showed me a photo she found online and handed me 2 bags containing 2 pieces of fabric (pink & white), floral garland in pink and white, orange tiger lilies and some pearl trim and off I went. After 3 hours, I finally achieved what I felt was her vision...

She was thrilled and it really did look beautiful especially when the breeze blew off the river.

It only took 5 minutes to rip it all down after the ceremony!

Finally back in my studio on a regular basis. 36 cards made last week and several mixed media pieces started. Our oldest grandson, Tyler, was here today and he made a few Father's Day cards. He just turned 8 yesterday and loves "making" things with Granny. Oh what fun we have together.

Hope you are having a great week.
